Cosumnes River Preserve's Activity Schedule

Events, times and locations are subject to change. Individuals do not need to pre-register, but you should contact the Preserve recorded information line at 916-684-2816 or via e-mail at info@cosumnes.org to confirm the dates and times listed here.

For workdays, you should bring a lunch and plenty of drinking water, dress ready to work, and be prepared for possible rain. Groups or students should RSVP to info@cosumnes.org

During the Winter & Spring season, weather patterns can really change quickly. Please layer and be prepared for wet and slippery conditions.

All activities are free.

The Visitor Center is open weekends in September from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and is open during the week when staff are present, or by previous arrangement.

Sept 6 -- Guided Photo Walk, 9:00 a.m. Meet at the Visitor Center. Bring your camera!

Sept 13 - -- River Walk Bird Count, 6:30 a.m., meet at the Visitor Center.

Sept 13 -- Habitat Restoration Team Workday, 9:30 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.,
meet early at The Barn for a 9:30 departure.

Sept 20 -- Tall Forest Bird Count, 6:30 a.m., meet at the Farm Center.

Sept 21 -- Guided Paddle, arrive early for a 9:00 a.m. departure, meet at the Visitor Center.
(Must provide own gear & PFD)

Sept 27 -- Habitat Restoration Team Workday, 9:30 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.,
meet early at The Barn for a 9:30 departure.

October 2008
